Fulbright Gallery : The Artist and His Fulbright Experience Sergio Castillo was born in Santiago, Chile in 1925. He studied in the Fine Arts School of Paris and Santiago. Since 1958 he has presented 48 individual exhibitions in the United States, Europe, Latin American and Japan. Castillo has been professor at the Academy of Fire in Paris, and Universidad Catolica and Universidad de Chile in Santiago, University of California at Berkeley and Boston University where he created the Metal Sculpture Department. In 1996 he was made Emeritus Professor of the Fine Arts Academy and in 1997 was awarded the National Prize of Art. 50 works are exhibited in public places and museums around the world. ...
