Although spouses and dependants with strong French are welcome to explore employment opportunities with international organizations or local employers, most spouses who work in Ouagadougou are employed by the Embassy or teach at the International School of Ouagadougou (ISO), as there are limited employment opportunities for non-French speakers. Depending on availability of funds, the Embassy often has PIT (part-time, intermittent, and temporary) positions.
