Oktober 2003 als Stichtag vor, ab dem Reisende im Rahmen des Programms für visumfreies Reisen einen maschinenlesbaren Pass vorweisen müssen. Auf Ersuchen von 23 der 27 VWP-Länder schoben die Vereinigten Staaten diese Erfordernis für die Länder, die die Fristverlängerung erbeten hatten, bis zum 26. Oktober 2004 auf. Das Ministerium für innere Sicherheit gewährte VWP-Reisenden ohne maschinenlesbaren Pass während einer Übergangsfrist einmalig Ausnahmegenehmigungen für die Einreise in die Vereinigten Staaten, wobei keine Kosten für den Reisenden entstanden. Accomplishments. In June, senior Lao police officials from provinces bordering Vietnam met with their Vietnamese counterparts to discuss measures for increasing drug interdiction cooperation. The monetary unit in Brunei is the ringgit (dollar), which is issued in notes of 1, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 500, 1,000, and 10,000. Coins are in denominations of 1, 5, 10, 20 and 50 cents. US$1 is equivalent to B$1.79 (Dec 2001). The exchange rate fluctuates slightly daily.
