111111111When I was a child, like many others, I thought that our counrty was the all powerful, all knowing super counrty and that no other country could or would dare touch.9-11-01 caught us off guard and let us know that the US is not the all seeing, all knowing, untouchable giant. Many miscarrages of judgement took place that lead to this disaster. I believe that things happen for a reason. Pearl Harbor happened to wake the 'sleeping giant' and allerted us not to have the bulk of our navy in only one harbor. 9-11 may have happended to remind us to get our guard up, and be on the watch. Every year in my second grade classroom I do a 3 hour lesson on Pearl harbor, because my mother, who lived through WWII, taught me that we must never forget that US soil was delibertly attacked.
