Wind energy is working at Wyoming State Parks
"State Parks turned to wind turbine technology as a way to offset utility bills initially at Curt Gowdy State Park, but we expect to install wind turbines at other Wyoming State Parks," said John Keck, director of Wyoming Department of State Parks and Cultural Resources. "The U.S. Department of Energy, TMA and the Wyoming Business Council were integral in moving this project forward." ...

The U.S. Department of Energy provided a $30,000 grant that was administered through the State Energy Program and the Wyoming Business Council. Total cost of the project was about $74,000 with TMA putting up the remaining $34,000.
