Its general telephone number is (307) 672-3473. Included in the bed complement are 7 acutemedical, 1 intensive care/coronary care unit, 50 nursing home care, and 8acute, 10 sub-acute and 30 long-term psychiatric beds, along with an 57 bedsmost of which are for substance abuse cases. In FY 1998, the Sheridan VAMC provided hospital in-patient treatment to5,889 veterans, and it provided out patient care to 46,191 veterans, a figurethat does not include the outpatient clinics. The clinics were just opened in 1998 and therefore do not have enoughexperience for reporting a full fiscal year. He and his wife Diana laid a rose on the grave of a Sheridan Wyoming soldier who was killed on January 23, 1944 while liberating Italy. Primarily during a few months, dozens of soldiers and sailors from Wyoming gave their lives in Italy toward ending World War II. They are buried or are remembered at the Anzio Cemetery.
