EMSC FY03 Program Highlights
Family Advocacy Network Representatives of the Family Advocacy Network (FAN) met during the Annual EMSC Grantee Meeting at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Washington, DC. FAN is a national network of individuals who share the desire to improve the emergency care system for children. Parents, family members, and consumers make up a large portion of the network and are frequently active in their State EMSC programs. FAN provides opportunities for participants to learn about leadership roles and ways that families can be involved with the development and implementation of State and national EMSC initiatives. In addition to hosting a meeting and providing members with technical assistance and support, EMSC distributed valuable information on everything from home safety tips and checklists to selecting a health care plan for children. ...
