Good choices for area lakes include Mountwood in Wood county, Conaway Run in Tyler , Charles Fork in Roane, North Bend Lake in Ritchie County , and Elk Fork, O’Brien and Woodrum lakes in Jackson County . (470 acres) Marshall County. The area is located in northeastern MarshallCounty along the Pennsylvania state line, and it can be accessed by WestVirginia County Route 15. The wildlifemanagement area is primarily forested with a 49-acre lake serving as theprimary attraction for the area. Dunkard Fork Lake, which is located primarilyin West Virginia with a small upstream portion in Pennsylvania, providesexcellent warmwater fishing opportunities for channel catfish, bluegill andblack bass (catch and release). The lake is also stocked with trout fromJanuary through May of each year. Consult your West Virginia Regulations forspecial fishing regulations. Residents of the State of Maryland who possess valid Maryland fishing licenses may fish by angling in the waters of Jennings Randolph Lake which are opposite both the Maryland and West Virginia shores, and they may fish from the West Virginia shore of the Potomac River, including the North Branch and Jennings Randolph Lake without obtaining a West Virginia fishing license, subject, however, to all other West Virginia fishing laws, rules and regulations applicable to fishing. This agreement is limited to the Potomac River including the North Branch and Jennings Randolph Lake and does not extend to any of their tributaries.
