West Virginia DNR - West Virginia Wildlife Management Areas
(470 acres) Marshall County. The area is located in northeastern MarshallCounty along the Pennsylvania state line, and it can be accessed by WestVirginia County Route 15. The wildlifemanagement area is primarily forested with a 49-acre lake serving as theprimary attraction for the area. Dunkard Fork Lake, which is located primarilyin West Virginia with a small upstream portion in Pennsylvania, providesexcellent warmwater fishing opportunities for channel catfish, bluegill andblack bass (catch and release). The lake is also stocked with trout fromJanuary through May of each year. Consult your West Virginia Regulations forspecial fishing regulations. The lake has a boat ramp and fishing pierconstructed along the primary access road. Turn south (right) on US-29. Chatham is about 10 miles down US-29. Approximate travel time: 2 hours. From Lynchburg, Virginia Take US-29 south. Approximate travel time: 45 minutes.
