The Transient Accommodations Program is charged by the Washington State Legislature "to promote the protection of the health and safety of individuals using accommodations in this state." In Washington State, Transient Accommodations are primarily hotels, motels, inns, resorts, or bed and breakfast facilities. The State Department of Health inspects these facilities initially and periodically thereafter to assure these facilities are safe and sanitary.
