WELCOME to the website for the Real Estate program of the Business and Professions Division of the Department of Licensing. The Real Estate program, in conjunction with the Washington Real Estate Commission, provides public protection in the real estate marketplace through the education and licensure of real estate brokers and salespersons. ... The Washington Real Estate Commission and the Department of Licensing, along with Task Force members and stakeholders, are working on agency request legislation to modernize the Real Estate License Law, Chapter 18.85 RCW. Changes to the law are intended to meet the demands of changing business practice and use of modern technology. The June 21, 2005 Task Force meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Radisson Hotel Seattle Airport. The Task Force will not meet in July, August or September but are scheduled to begin again in October. The meetings are on the 3rd Tuesday of each month and are at the Criminal Justice Training Center in Burien.
