Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park Park Restrictions – According to the terms of the gift of the park, bicycles, snowmobiles, and other motorized vehicles (other than those to maintain the site) are prohibited from park use. ITS Technology – There is no precedent for the use of ITS technology within the park or town of Woodstock. Even VMS would appear extremely out of character with the image of the town as the town does not have a single traffic signal in operation. Signage – Signage to locate the site is inadequate. The state of Vermont has a billboard ban which restricts the type of signage permitted for commercial enterprises. This extends to the park as well. Some limited signage directs visitors to the Billings Farm and Museum, which serves to lead the visitors to the park as well. The Park has submitted its request for signage to the state.
