Current Trainees: Medical University of South Carolina
Henry Lemon received his B.S. in Biochemistry from Clemson University in 1992. He got his M.D. in 1996 from the Medical University of South Carolina. He did his residency training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 1996-1999 and from 1999-2000 he was an instructor in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care. During this time, Dr. Lemon also worked as a contract physician at both the University of Alabama, Department of Medicine's Division of Hematology/Oncology and in the emergency department at the Carraway Methodist Medical Center. Over the past few years he has served as vice-chair, Department of Pediatrics, Lexington, SC Medical Center, resident preceptor for the University of South Carolina Pediatric Residency Program as well as working as a General Pediatric Practitioner at the Lexington, SC Pediatrics. Institutional Training Programs: Medical University of South Carolina
During a full time fellowship, physicians, pharmacists and nurses receive didactic instruction and practical experience in health services research and other professional skills necessary for success in academic medicine. The fellows complete the Master of Science in Clinical Research in the Department of Biometry and Epidemiology and complete research projects and grant applications. Other requirements are the fellowship seminar series, participation in a bi-weekly journal club, and learning statistical software during the first-year in the research and professional development components. The program benefits from ongoing programs at the Medical University of South Carolina.
