Dr. Szoka was a biotechnology pharmaceutical research scientist for more than nine years and subsequently worked in pharmaceutical business development and as a biotechnology industry sell-side analyst and registered investment advisor. She was an investor in the biotechnology sector for an additional nine years. Dr. Szoka's investments included a mixture of early stage venture capital and publicly traded biotechnology and pharmaceutical stocks.
