This person has a myriad of accomplishments! He served as a 19 year old pilot in World War II. After the war, he went to college at Oklahoma City University and has a Master’s Degree from Oklahoma University. Upon graduation, he played professional football for the LA Rams. He has flown missions in the Korean War, Berlin Crisis, and Vietnam. He retired as a Brigadier General from the United States Air Force and joined the FAA. He was also the football coach for Yukon High School and high school principal. He then left the school system to become a sales manager for Beechcraft Distributors. While he was sales manager, he began buying stock in a bank in Southeastern Oklahoma. He served on its Board of Directors and later became the president of the bank. While he was at the bank, he bought a real estate company and an insurance agency; his wife operated the insurance agency.
