Ohio Governor Bob Taft - Record of Accomplishments In 2002 Governor Taft supported the Ohio College Access Network with a $2 million grant and challenged the program to double the number of college access programs in the state. Since Governor Taft issued his challenge, four new programs have been created, bringing the organization roster to 26 member programs. There are 19 other communities working to develop access programs across Ohio under the Governor’s Access Initiative. ... Third Frontier Internship Program —To help Ohio students find good jobs close to home, Governor Taft has committed $15 million over three years to the Third Frontier Internship Program.
