Fifth Third Field (Toledo Mud Hens) Dedicated in April 2002, Fifth Third Field is home to the Toledo Mud Hens, the AAA affiliate of the Detroit Tigers. This open-air, natural grass stadium includes approximately 8,500 seats and 28 suites, and is located in the historic Warehouse District of downtown Toledo. The project included the construction of the new baseball stadium, public plaza areas and the restoration of several buildings. News Release TOLEDO (October 15, 2003) - Governor Bob Taft today announced more than $3.1 million in Third Frontier awards to the University of Toledo and several Toledo area companies that will be used to create more than 1,900 high-paying jobs in Northwest Ohio within the next seven years. ...
