Ohio State Parks Magazine - Spring/Summer 2003 West Branch: The Sequel. While campers enjoy hooking up at the electrical sites developed in Phase I of the major campground overhaul at WEST BRANCH STATE PARK , the second phase of campground improvements is underway. VIP Program The Ohio State Parks volunteer program started in 1982 with a handful of workers and has grown to more than 6,000 volunteers who donate almost 320,000 hours of public service each year. Their contributions are many, such as assisting staff at nature centers, greeting guests at campgrounds and helping them set up their sites, planting trees and flowers, helping out with special events, picking up litter, etc. ... Camping at Antietam Campground assignments will be made by Antietam National Battlefield staff. Each site is assessed a $25 charge for either a one- or two-night stay. Extended stays are charged at a rate of $10 per night per campsite.
