Kevin Wisniewski's hospitality career started in the mid-70s at fast food restaurants. After graduating high school, he traveled to Arizona where he began working as the breakfast cook at the Biltmore, Phoenix's oldest five-star resort hotel. Wisniewski moved back to Toledo in 1987 and earned two associate degrees, one in applied business in foodservice management and the other in hospitality management. During that time, he joined the A.C.F. Maumee Valley Chef's Association, Inc., where he is still an active member today. He served as the organization's treasurer for six years and was named chef of the year in 1999. He also received his certified executive chef title from the American Culinary Federation.
