Sanders County contains a diverse collection of timbered mountains, river valleys, and arid plains. More than 81 percent of Sanders County is owned by the Federal, State, County, Local, and/or Tribal governments. Elevations range from 2,200 feet above sea level along the bank of the Clark Fork River to Baldy Mountain which is approximately 7,464 feet above sea level.
