The South Carolina/MMS Offshore Resource Cooperative is continuing its phased mapping efforts offshore Myrtle Beach to analyze sources of sand compatible with its high priority erosion site. Over the next two years, researchers from Coastal Carolina University and the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources will construct habitat and sand resource inventory maps of the inner continental shelf in the northern portion of the State.
