Kathryn S. Wylde is President and CEO of the New York City Partnership & Chamber of Commerce and of its economic development arm, the New York City Investment Fund. The Partnership is a nonprofit organization established by David Rockefeller and the business leadership of New York to strengthen and diversify the economy of the five boroughs. Wylde previously served as President & CEO of the Partnership’s housing arm, the New York City Housing Partnership, which has led residential redevelopment of formerly blighted areas of the city for the past two decades. It has sponsored production of more than 20,000 units of new and rehabilitated affordable housing, valued in excess of $2.5 billion, and has pioneered programs to bring minority entrepreneurs into the affordable housing industry. MXB Virtual Tour - New York City Department of City Planning
This tour was developed by the Department of City Planning as part of its Malcolm X Boulevard Streetscape Enhancement Project. The project, which extends from West 110th to West 147th Street, seeks to complement the ongoing capital improvements for Malcolm X Boulevard and take advantage of the growing tourist interest in Harlem. The project proposes a program of streetscape and pedestrian space improvements, including new pedestrian lighting, new sidewalk and median landscaping and the provision of pedestrian amenities, such as seating and pergolas. The Department has been working with Cityscape Institute, the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone, the New York City Department of Transportation, and the Department of Design and Construction, and has received implementation funds totaling $1.2 million through the federal TEA21 Enhancement Funding program for the proposed pedestrian lighting improvements. ... On April 28, Bill Schwab, Brad Butman, Rob Thieler , and Ellen Mecray (WHFC) accompanied a number of Reston USGS representatives including Bonnie McGregor, Dave Russ and Pat Leahy on a cruise tour of the New York City estuary system in and around the Gateway National Recreation area.
