New Jersey - Peer Institute 2002 The students from the nine colleges represented at the Peer Institute networked, exchanged ideas, and took examples of successful programs back to their campuses for implementation. Additionally, 40 students received the Bacchus and Gamma Certification. In 2001, nine new college programs were started because of the Peer Institute. The program originated due to the distance many N.J. veterans had to travel to getto a VA facility for medical care. Free transportation is offered to VA medical centers, clinics, pharmacies, private physicians, regional veterans services offices or job service offices, and other community services in most counties.
