NHTSA Action Plan for 15-Passenger Van Safety Survey Tire Pressure and Condition in the 12- and 15-Passenger Van Fleet and Analyze the Role of Tires in Rollover Causation: As part of NHTSA's development of long-term performance requirements for tire pressure-monitoring systems, NTSB recommends (August 2003) NHTSA adopt more stringent detection standards than 25 or 30 percent below manufacturer-recommended levels.
