Truckee River Agreement --The Truckee River Agreement, finalized in 1935, representsthe current basis for the operation of the Truckee River, including its tributaries anddiversions, between its source (Lake Tahoe) and its terminus (Pyramid Lake). Parties to thisagreement included TCID, serving the irrigation rights of agricultural water users of theNewlands Project in Churchill County, Nevada, Sierra Pacific Power Company, servingprimarily the municipal and industrial water needs of the cities of Reno and Sparks, Nevada,and the Washoe County Water Conservation District, serving the agricultural water usersin the Truckee Meadows.
