Biographies of the Attorneys General
Tom Campbell Clark was born in Dallas, Texas, on September 23, 1899. He earned an A.B. degree from the University of Texas, an LL.B. from that university in 1922 and in the same year was admitted to the Texas bar. From 1922 to 1927 he was a member of his father's law firm, Clark and Clark. In 1927 he was civil district attorney for Dallas County, Texas. Clark was a special attorney in the Bureau of War Risk Litigation, Department of Justice, in 1937. He was a special assistant to the Assistant Attorney General assigned to the Antitrust Division in 1938. From 1940 to 1942 he served as Chief, West Coast Offices, in the Antitrust Division of Justice. In 1942 he was named coordinator of Alien Enemy Control of the Western Defense Command, and Chief Civilian Staff for Japanese War Relocation. In 1943 he was Chief, War Frauds Unit, and first assistant to the Assistant Attorney General in charge of the Antitrust Division, Department of Justice. Norfolk District Attorney's Office
Under Commonwealth of Massachusetts law, all criminal cases brought to prosecution must be handled by the Office of the District Attorney or the Office of the Massachusetts Attorney General. Crime Prevention and Victim Services Crime prevention and victim services are also top priorities for my administration. Each victim or witness of a crime is assigned a specially trained advocate to provide support in the immediate aftermath of the crime and provide critical assistance throughout the court process. Our Education and Intervention Services Unit works with schools and social service agencies throughout the Norfolk District to develop crime prevention and education programs. We have initiated the Norfolk Anti-Crime Council, increased resources to serve and support victims of crime, and our Juvenile Unit has expanded police and school official roundtables to enhance school safety and foster early intervention. M.G.L - Chapter 66, Section 10
  (b) A custodian of a public record shall, within ten days following receipt of a request for inspection or copy of a public record, comply with such request. Such request may be delivered in hand to the office of the custodian or mailed via first class mail. If the custodian refuses or fails to comply with such a request, the person making the request may petition the supervisor of records for a determination whether the record requested is public. Upon the determination by the supervisor of records that the record is public, he shall order the custodian of the public record to comply with the person's request. If the custodian refuses or fails to comply with any such order, the supervisor of records may notify the attorney general or the appropriate district attorney thereof who may take whatever measures he deems necessary to insure compliance with the provisions of this section.
