Civil Motor Vehicle Citation Procedures of the Boston Municipal Court Department When cited for a moving violation, in the BMC jurisdiction Court Code 01, the violator must check the correct box, marked appeal request on the reverse side of the citation. Mail the request to the Registry of Motor Vehicles. When notifying the RMV be sure the address listed is the correct address. The Registry of Motor Vehicles will forward to the Court the necessary documentation. The Court will send the violator a notice of hearing including the offense, address and date and time of the hearing. With over 286,000 riders licensed in Massachusetts it is important for automobile operators and motorcycle riders to share the road and be aware of each other. Most fatalities occur on the weekends between 6-9 and involve males ages 25-34. With 58 motorcycle fatalities last year it is important that motorcycle riders are properly educated in all aspects of operation.
