BOSTON - Taking an active role in helping Massachusetts residents with gambling problems, State Treasurer Timothy P. Cahill and Lottery Executive Director Joseph C. Sullivan today announced that the Lottery will donate a portion of its $10 million advertising budget, as well as a significant share of its multi-media advertisements, to the Massachusetts Council on Compulsive Gambling. BOSTON – July 13, 2005 – Beginning today, the Massachusetts School Building Authority will market $2.5 billion in bonds to help pay for wait listed school construction projects across the state. The debt is being issued by the Massachusetts School Building Authority, an independent authority created a year ago to reform the state’s old school building assistance program and make it more fiscally responsible. Cahill announced today that the eligibility guidelines have been expanded for the new program that will provide low cost loans to Massachusetts educators.
