Tulane Medical School - The Tulane Office of Medical Informatics helps the Tulane Medical Center plan, develop and implement computer and communications systems that support its missions in medical education, clinical practice, and research. We maintain expertise in key technologies important in education, electronic publishing, and research and clinical data management. We also help Medical Center departments incorporate current computing technology into their teaching and clinical work by providing consultative support, expert assessment of commercial hardware and software, training opportunities, internal software development, and shared equipment and software resources. We are organized under the Chancellor's Office of the Tulane Medical Center. As a part of our activities, we maintain the Tulane Medical Center Web Server and we support departments and offices of the Tulane Medical Center in the development and maintenance of their own web pages on the server. Children's Choice is a program designed to help families who provide in-home care and support for their children with developmental disabilities. Children's Choice assists by providing funding for medical care, home modifications, care-giving assistance and support, and other specialty services. Children's Choice is a support program designed to be flexible enough to let families choose when they need the covered services. Children's Choice is intended to supplement the care and support that eligible children already receive at home, through their extended families or that is already available within local communities. Funds available through Children's Choice are capped at $15,000 per care plan year. The Office of Family Support provides temporary income support for low income families, and child support enforcement services to families with absent parents. The Office of Family Support administers the federal TANF (Temporary Assistance to Needy Families) program, related child care programs, the federal Find Work employment and training program, the federal Food Stamp program, and the federal Child Support Enforcement program. The Office of Family Support also administers the disability determination process for the federal Supplemental Security Income program. The disability determination function is excluded from the Children's Budget because the determination process and the client benefits are 100% federally funded and controlled. The Find Work program has not been included as an expenditure for children, even though some program participants may be under 18, because adolescents are not a target population of this program in Louisiana. On average,incarcerated noncustodial parents in Colorado have child supportorders of $178 per month. They earn 25 cents to $2.50 per day; Incarcerated noncustodial parents accumulate substantial arrearswhile they are in prison. On average, noncustodial parents inColorado prisons have arrears balances that average $11,738.
