To register for the service a resident must complete an application which requires certification from a physician that verifies the type of disability. The application can be obtained by calling the Public Works Department at 328-4634. STS service provides the eligible individuals transportation within Council Bluffs city limits and certain designated points within Omaha, Nebraska. The hours of operation for the service is Monday-Friday 8a.m. - 7 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. The fare for each one-way ticket is $1.50. The fare must be paid at the time of travel in cash or by ticket.
