The document addressed concerns regarding the incidence of child cancers in LakeCounty from potential emissions from the Keil Chemical Company. Child cancer data (allcancers and further cancer groupings) for ages 19 and younger were obtained from the IndianaCancer Registry for the reported time period from 1987 to 1997, who lived in Lake County. Rates of childhood cancers for a six zip code area most likely to be exposed to emissions fromthe Keil Chemical Company were also examined.
