The kiosks are like no other in the nation. They not only accept cash and credit/debit cards, they immediately dispense the renewal decal and registration form. Virginia and Indiana have similar kiosk programs but Virginia’s doesn’t dispense decals and neither takes cash. The initial pilot program to test the technology was successfully implemented at the department’s W. Carey office in North Las Vegas and completed last April. The department began installing other kiosks in major Las Vegas offices in early May. There are two machines in each of the four full-service DMV offices and one at the express office on Donovan Way. DIRECTOR DEMONSTRATES KIOSKS JUNE 22 IN RENO The media is invited to a demonstration of the new cash accepting self-serve kiosks in northern Nevada Tuesday, June 22, 10 a.m. at the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles office in Reno.
