Idaho Transportation Department The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) has accepted the recommendations of the Eagle Road Arterial Study. The project now moves into the design phase, and has a new name - The Eagle Road Improvement Project. ITD will now do the work necessary to construct the final phase improvements on Eagle Road. Some construction on Eagle Road could begin as soon as this summer. Look for updated traffic signal operation, landscaped median barriers with periodic breaks and additional traffic signals. The goal of the final work is to improve traffic flow on the crucial north-south commuter route, while addressing residential and business needs for safe and convenient highway access.
