Hawaii State Parks: Na Pali Coast The trail crosses Kalalau Streamnear the valley mouth before ending at Kalalau Beach and a smallwaterfall. Camping in Kalalau is allowed only behind this sand beach.During Summer, sea caves just beyond the waterfall provide popularcamping shelters, but winter surf removes much of the beach andenters the caves. Shaded campsites are available beneath the treesbehind the beach. Ocean swimming is not recommended for thoseunfamiliar with local sea conditions. Do not loiter beneath thewaterfall or near cliff faces as there is a constant danger offalling rocks. An easy 2 mile trail into Kalalau Valley ends at apool in the sream.
