1999 Annual Visitor Research Report A decline in repeat visitors pushed the share of first-time visitors to 51.5 percent of the Japan market. Nearly all Japanese (95.9%) visit Oahu and for 73 percent Oahu is the only island visited. Most Japanese visitors come on group or package tours.
