When approached by the reception clerk, they said that they were from a company that did business with the hotel and that the head engineer called them to check on the air conditioning. The reception clerk called the hotel engineer, who verified that they do business with the company in question. United States v. Days Inns of America, Inc. -- The Departmententered into a consent decree with Iyer & Associates, the architectsof the Days Inn hotel in Willows, California. The architect has agreed topay $18,000 in civil penalties for violations of title III's new constructionprovisions in the design of the hotel. The agreement leaves only the franchisor,Days Inns of America, and its parent company, HFS Incorporated, as defendantsin this case. The Department previously entered into separate consent agreementswith the owner and the contractor of the Willows hotel.
