Interim Report on Best Practices For the Employment of People with Disabilities In State Government Florida has established the Able Trust, a 501(c)(3) public-private partnership foundation. Since 1990, the Able Trust has awarded over $14 million to individuals with disabilities and nonprofit vocational rehabilitation agencies, and helped approximately 2,000 individuals with disabilities annually to enter the workforce. Among the projects supported by the Trust are: on-the-job coaching, supported employment, job skills-training, job development, employer outreach, and ADA facility compliance.
