Lark Canyon Campground and Cottonwood Campground have tables, fire rings, vault toilets, and water (not tested safe for drinking). A $6.00 per campsite fee is required for camping at all BLM campsites.Camping on public lands away from developed recreation facilities is referred to as "dispersed” or “primitive” camping. Primitive camping is available in the wilderness area. There are no developed sites in Algodones Dunes. Campgrounds are available along Gecko Road, directly south of the wilderness area and Highway 78 in the designated OHV area.
