Region Nine Tenth Anniversary Publication Your Man Tours, Inc., Los Angeles, California -- The Department reached an agreement with Your Man Tours, Inc.(YMT), a company that organizes vacation tours, to resolve twocomplaints alleging that the company charged extra to make vacationplans for people with disabilities. The complainants, one of whomuses a wheelchair and the other a walker, requested YMT to accommodatetheir mobility impairments in making reservations for a vacationtrip to Hawaii. Both canceled their plans rather than pay theextra charges which they contend were demanded by YMT. The agreementprohibits YMT from charging extra to make reservations for accessibleaccommodations. Under the agreement, YMT provided a free tripto Hawaii to one complainant, paid the other complainant $1648.90(the value of the trip), and made a $2,000 donation to MobilityInternational, USA, a nonprofit organization that distributesinformation about travel and educational opportunities for personswith disabilities. ...
