Prop 201 Rape, murder, and child abuse, these are just a few crimes faced by the people of Arizona and the under staffed, under funded law enforcement agencies. Arizona has the 4th largest jail system in America. So let’s add another crime, cock fighting. Arizona has enough crime without making new criminals. Where will the funding to prosecute and try all of the people who raise or fight game fowl come from? Arizona courts are overcrowded. We cannot police the crime we have, let’s make felons out of everyday hardworking law-abiding citizens who not only fight game fowl, but raise them for a hobby. Cockfighting has been a culture and a tradition for many Arizona families, I’m third generation. If this law passes, the average person will not be affected, but many families will awake the next morning, felons. What will happen to all the game fowl if this becomes law?
