Kikwit, Congo, Democratic Republic of the Kikwit is a city lying on the Kwilu River in the south western Democratic Republic of Congo. An important commercial and administrative centre, it is home to a stadium and is known for its traditional dances. It is also home to an airport. In 1995 the city saw an outbreak of the Ebola virus.
