Moundou, Chad


Moundou is the second largest city in Chad, the capital of Logone Occidental prefecture. It has a population of 99,530 (as of 1993).

The city lies on the Logone River and is the main city of the N'Gambaye people. It has grown as an industrial centre, home to a brewery and the cotton and oil industries. It is also home to an airport.
