Chatham-Kent, Canada The Municipality of Chatham-Kent, is located in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. In 1998 the former Chatham city government merged with that of Kent County to form the Municipality of Chatham-Kent. The 2003 population of Chatham-Kent was 111,925, while that within the old boundaries of the City of Chatham was 51,348. Chatham is the birthplace of baseball hall of famer Fergie Jenkins and the singer/songwriter, Sylvia Tyson. Chatham-Kent also contains the Indian reserve of Moravian 47. The mayor of Chatham-Kent is Diane Gagner.
