Žepče, Bosnia and Herzegovina Žepče is a town in central Bosnia and Herzegovina, located between Doboj and Zenica. It is administratively part of the Zenica-Doboj Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The town was first mentioned in 1458 in a charter issued by the Bosnian King Stjepan Tomašević. In 1991 the municipality of Žepče had 22,840 inhabitants, of which there were 10,780 Bosniaks (47%), 9,081 Croats (40%), 2,289 Serbs (10%), 531 Yugoslavs (2%), and 159 others (1%). Žepče itself had 6,841 residents. The town is home to the football club NK Žepče.
